XULadmin for Firefox3 released
Long expected, XULadmin, the administration tool for Firefox 3 has been released and it is available for download. It features a new SOAP API, spellchecking, article statistics, imports and exports. Further development will be continued exclusively in and for Firefox 3.

Change in the versioning scheme
Cyclone3 as a solution is usually deployed by installing the Cyclone3 Framework and Cyclone3 XULAdmin - the administration tool. That is the reason why we have chosen to change the versioning scheme. The future releases will be labeled according to release date and revision number - YYYY.MM.revision.

Firefox3 has been released!
On June 17th the first stable version of Mozilla Firefox 3 was released. New XUL capabilities were added but some of them were removed as well. We are working on compatibility issues so that XULAdmin is firefox-3-ready as soon as possible. But OOps - the SOAP has been dropped!

Press: Open source as a business model
Two years ago, Comsultia ltd. opened the source code of its content publishing system and made it accessible for free. Roman Fordinál, the managing director, claims that it has been good for the business.
An interview with Filip Hanker has been published in a national newspaper in Slovakia – Hospodárske Noviny, as well as the largest Slovak and Czech IT portal ZIVE. Comsultia is the only company in Slovakia with a business model based on its own open-source CMS - Cyclone3.

XULAdmin under Intensive Development!
A new version of the graphical user interface program - XULAdmin is under heavy development. Usability, stability, flexibility and editing effectiveness are the new goals. Recent and planned changes will make XULAdmin useful in different enviroments. These features, however, will not prevent it from playing its primary role - a multifunctional web publishing software. A release expected soon!

Comsultia are finding developer/s to develop XUL binding able to edit DocBook XML sources. The suggested starting level for this job are 1000 USD. Source codes will be available under GPLv2 license. Editor must allow to edit DocBook XML sources in WYSIWYG form for unskilled users. Open/Save dialogs and similar are not required...

Cyclone3 in mod_fastcgi vs mod_fcgid
Cyclone3 Framework runs fine with mod_fastcgi, but in most of GNU/Linux distributions (Gentoo, Debian) is this Apache module marked as obsolete or removed. It's because here is a new and compatible mod_fcgid and because for Apache 2.2.* is mod_fastcgi unstable solution.
